I'm sure you've heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, that doesn't stop millions of Americans and people around the world from skipping breakfast or just drinking coffee. The truth is that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and if you incorporate it into your daily routine, you will eat much healthier.

The breakfast lives up to its name eat fast. When you sleep, don't eat for at least 6 to 9 hours, and even longer if you haven't eaten since dinner the night before. That's why breakfast is the first time you've eaten anything in a long time. Some nutrients, such as protein, cannot be stored in the body and are therefore not available. The body must therefore compensate for the "low" levels of these nutrients. Breakfast is like a match that lights a fire. In fact, it is a very important source of energy for your body in the morning.

Breakfast in the morning also helps prevent some diseases and ailments. For example, your sugar level has probably dropped because you haven't eaten for hours. Breakfast therefore balances the sugar levels in the body and thus helps to prevent diabetes. A healthy breakfast also helps get food into your stomach, so you don't overeat at lunchtime because you're very hungry. Overeating leads to obesity, which is linked to a range of problems, including heart disease.

Healthy breakfast foods such as eggs, fruit, or bran flakes are also good sources of many of the vitamins and minerals a person needs throughout the day. If you don't eat these things in the morning, it will be difficult to catch up during the day.Remember that your body cannot function properly without the right amount of nutrients. A healthy breakfast will also lead you to make healthier food choices for the rest of the day, so you can continue to get the nutrients your body needs.

Taking 15 minutes to eat breakfast each morning can make a real difference in your diet. Ideally, breakfast consists of foods from at least three different food groups. For example, you could eat whole grain toast (the bread group) with peanut butter (the protein group) and a banana (the fruit group).Add a glass of milk to drink and you end up in the fourth food group. Breakfast doesn't have to consist of big pancakes and sausage every day to be healthy, and even eating a piece of fruit or a muffin is better than skipping a meal altogether. Breakfast is important for your health!
